This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

Jay Degrosslier (sp?) observed an adult THAYER'S GULL on February 18
at Lower Monumental Dam. The dam is about 6 miles south of Kahlotus,
Washington, in Franklin County. Washington DeLorme p. 54, d-4.

A single NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL was on a powerline in western Coeur
d'Alene, Idaho on February 17, according to Dan Odett (sp?). The bird
was along Atlas Road, about 0.25 mile up from Seltece Road.

Four WESTERN BLUEBIRDS were on the south side of Moscow Mountain
on February 18. Three males and a female were along Frink Road,
according to Ted Allegri and Cheryl Polson (sp?).

A few BALD EAGLES are still patrolling around St. Maries, Idaho. John
Roberson saw one along the south side of Lake Chatcolet and another
about 3 miles up the St. Maries River from St. Maries. Idaho DeLorme p.
60, c-2.

Finally, Phyllis Wicks reports a COOPER'S HAWK was terrorizing the birds
at her feeders on February 21, here in Moscow. Naturally, she thinks
that's just great.
