The owl was banded last Wed. and I saw it Thusday AM and PM, so I think it
is wrong to assume banding may have caused it to leave, (if it has). It is
also my understanding the owl is mainly a vole eater, how is this region
for voles ? If it were discovered to have starved is it a function of lack
of food or human pressure which keeps it from hunting?
