To the best of my knowledge, there were 2 (or 3) Great Gray Owls in
Vancouver; one at Deer Lake (the one which was seen by many) and one at
Maplewood Flats, North Vancouver. While the first one was reported for a
long time, the second was seen only for some days, but simultaneously
with the first one. In the area of the second (and less viewed) one, the
carcass was later found. (A third bird was reported later from Maple
Ridge to the East of Vancouver).
