So, there we were..sitting in Top Foods on Olympia's West Side
and my lunch mate (a birder) spotted a soaring hawk..we watched it
for a while and it turned out to be a redtail..then there were
2 of them..a smaller one arcing the larger which rolled over
with talons extended..this went on for a while until we noticed
another 2 more redtails..so we had two buzzing each other in
a territorial dispute and 2 soaring onlookers, no doubt awaiting
the results, or so we thought..and a few minutes later all four were
soaring around...it was great to see these big graceful adult
birds against today's blue sky...my lunch got cold...it didn't
matter.. Later on the East Side I saw another soaring redtail..
Sure was a nice day...
