Sounds like you topped the moose! Tell us more! Though my close
encounter (spooking one out of its bed) makes me understand how
it could be possible. There was a case a few years ago of a
team of biologists doing some kind of survey, walking in file
(three of them), the tail armed as they were in griz country.
The lead stepped on a bedded bear in chest-high grass and was
either killed or severly injured.

Anyway, tell us your story! Not fair just teasing us without
details!
