At the very end of our CBC on Saturday, 30 Dec., we saw two Short-eared Owls
patrolling the NOAA property at sunset. One had been reported off and on
the past month. I've never seen two together before at this location.
Also a Cooper's Hawk, a flock of Killdeer and two Snipe, among other
things, at the same location. Not as good as I expect to hear Montlake
Fill was, but still a lot of fun.
