My reading on the matter is that Double-crested *do*, and Brandt's and
Pelagic Cormorants *don't* hold their wings open for extended periods at
roosts. I don't have a clue why this should be so! Elsewhere in the world,
other species of cormorants hold their wings open, but I've never seen a
summary of the dos and don'ts.
