I was at Ridgefield on Tuesday night. The lower unit is closed from what
I understand as this is the part of the unit where there is a gate. The
upper unit,or Carty unit, has no gates. There are no signs which would
prevent people from going out, not barring gates on the footbridge, and
even no gates on the road. If I recall correctly, the gentleman with
Harry today was the refuge manager. I was there for about 45 minutes on
Tuesday, others were there as well, and there was no ticketing or
anything like that. If this situation cahnges, I'll post before Friday,
but as far as I can tell, you can go in without problem. RK
