Congrats! It is pretty interesting here. But enjoy your last week of
birding, cause it is unlikely you will have much of a chance once you
start. Except maybe for some late night owling on the way home from work.

I am very pleased to announce that I accepted a job with Microsoft to work as
a science editor with the Encarta multi-media encyclopedia. I will be working
with freelance writers to get some 800 articles written and then edit them
for facts, content, grammar, readability etc. It's a five month contract
position with the opportunity of working longer. After being under-employed
for the last year I am happy to be back in the ranks of the working. I shall
miss being home in my forest and lake, but I look forward to working with
people and learning a great amount of material.

I can't wait to talk to the team that is revising the current Encarta so I
can start telling them about the various mistakes in the current version.

I start next monday (15th) so I have one last week of bird-watching.
