Hello,
I am 23-year-old birder from Finland, Europe and I am going to spend
about a month in US (Salt Lake City and Seattle) and Canada (Whistler) in
February ,mostly skiing, but I try to find some time to watch birds also
(couple of days in each place + a week in Seattle and Northwest
Washington State).I would be grateful for any information about birding
sites, locations of same special wintering birds or any tips at all.
Here is some questions I have came up with so far:
-I have understood that there is a birdcount in Christmas / New year .Is
it possible to get any results (with locations )in January?
-Is there any www-sites about birding in those areas?
- Is there any Where to Watch... books from those areas? Where could I
get them ?
- Is it possible to see any Hummingbirds ? If so where?
-Whats the best place to see shorebirds in Washington State? What a about
wildfowl?
