Hey Dennis -- The tally is up to 5 Laysan's now. Oregon 3, Washington 2.
Ray Korpi and Floyd Schrock just brought me up to date. Maybe all this
chatter about wrecked seabirds this winter has inspired more folks to patrol
the beaches. Who knows what treasures may turn up out there. Alaskan alcids
in late winter - spring maybe? There is always much we can learn from
salvaging some of these and they are good as museum specimen records.
