For what it is worth,

I was at Point Brown at Ocean Shores over the Thanksgiving week. We were
staying in a time share condo. The couple who had been there the weekend
prior to Thanksgiving had made an entry in the condo log re " so many
dead birds on the beach ". There was no mention of what the birds were,
what they looked like, or the number per unit distance. We arrived on
Wednesday and, upon reading of the deaths, I took a walk to see what I
could find. I came up with a blank.

Is it possible that the large die off actually started prior to the early
December storm or that there was more than one event?
