First, please use line breaks every 72 columns or so...

You are correct. This may change in the future as e-mail does more,
for instance already we see jpeg messages and the like being automatically
decoded by the likes of mime. In the future, presumably Java - which
is executable - will be mailable, too, in which case the potential for
abuse might arise.

But not now.

Unix hackers have cleverly used the actual Unix mail programs to
breach security, but not via actual mail messages. In this case
it truly is the media, not the message, which causes problems!
