Yesterday, Jan 13, Alisdair Stewart observed a single female Harlequin
Duck on Mill Creek directly behind Walla Walla Community College, east
Walla Walla. MerryLynn and I observed this bird this morning between 8 &
8:25 a.m. just east of the Tausick Bridge and directly south of the
Detrick Dome. We observed this bird catch and consume a freshwater
scaulpin approx. 3 inches long. This bird was photographed as it is a
first county record.
