Hi Tweets,

Yesterday was a 2 Urban Peregrine Falcon Day.

At the end of a breakfast meeting in downtown Vancouver BC, I checked and
saw that Clint was waiting out the filthy weather perched in his (?)
customary parking spot on the 10th floor of the Granville 2000 Building at
the N end of Granville Street (it's the tall highrise office building
between the SeaBus Terminal and the Pan Pacific Hotel/Canada Place
complex). Look at the farthest right concrete panel under the louvres on
the N-facing side of the building; the plentiful falcon-poop shows which is
Clint's fave warm-air vent. This falcon has been using this
easily-observable (from the E side of Canada Place) perch for at least the
last seven or eight years, arriving in week 1 or 2 of October and usually
staying until week 1 or 2 of April, to go who knows where in the North
and/or Interior.
The second was outside the MindLink office window in New Westminster in
very late afternoon, and likely was Queenie, the female which has roosted
on and hunted from the Queensborough Bridge in New West for the last four
or five years. Lucky for the many pigeons here, she wasn't serious.

Cheers
