Subject: King Eider - not

Time to put aside my embarrassment.

I spent 2.5 hours Monday morning at the west end of Hastie Lake Road looking
for the eider. Nuthin'. Lots of the normal stuff, and a brown dog that loved
to swim, and a local who kept throwing yard debris in the water, but no eider.
Anybody else get skunked? Or is it just me? (yes, I was indeed scanning the
water, not the trees as suggested by an ex-friend of mine)

I'm heading back up there on Saturday. I refuse to let an "easy" bird escape.

Jim
