Most Salmonella patients will pull through the disease if they can be
rehydrated. Due to diarrhea, they become dehydrated quickly and cannot
drink enough to flush the disease through their systems. If you find a bird
that is catchable, please turn it in to your nearest wildlife rehabilitation
shelter. They will start fluid therapy and there's a good chance the bird
will survive.
If you don't know where your nearest shelter is, please let me know and I'll
check my list.
