In my opinion clearcutting is not good for anything, avian or mammal.
Emotion aside, it creates a brand new environment, one that the existing
residents do not belong in, and thereby creates a situation where they must
move or perish.

If they move, chances are they transgress into others' territories and
struggles ensue. It's my opinion life is hard enough for these animals
without adding to their problems. The lumber companies, however, do not agree.
