Subject: Owl calls other species

Related to the discussion of how large and small owls respond to each
others calls, once while on San Juan Island at dusk, i tried a Great Horned
Hoot and got buzzed close enough knock my hat off by a Red Tail! Apparently
my hoot was good enough to fool the red tail but no owls responded. For
safety sake i now hoot only after dark....
