Although we didn't set up feeder stations (thistle, peanut treat, and
sunflower seed) in our yard to feed an expanded food-chain, it is
interesting to see a Sharp-shinned Hawk in the yard every couple of days.

The Sharpie comes through from the same direction, whenever it comes. If
it doesn't catch something, it may sit in one of our maples for a bit.
We've actually seen it get a siskin AND--ta dah! --a starling in the last
few days. We're in the Wedgwood area of Seattle, about a block from the
Seattle Audubon office.

Good urban HAWK watching! Cheers--EB
