A kestrel visits my house weekly (sometimes daily) to sit on the lower limbs
of a maple tree. Directly below this is a large wild rose full of house
sparrows. I've seen the kestrel sit there for 15-30 minutes waiting for a
panic stricken sparrow to vacate the cover.
