How about a questionable early spring migration southwards!

I've just seen three Bald Eagles that started on the horizon north of
Vancouver, came over the city and had a good look around. I lost sight of
one but two of them kept on circling and headed out in a south-east
direction. Could these be birds that have come up to Squamish for the
salmon run that are now heading back over the border? The local knowledge
of where the Squamish eagles do come from seems to be fairly sparse.
