Yes, it was a kestrel lurking in the bushes.
Once I was walking around my greenhouse which had fairly substantial
shrubs on one side. I was standing with my back to the shrubs
and looking into my greenhouse.
As I turned to had back to the house, suddenly this orange grey
blur took off. I had been standing within 2 feet of the kestrel
and didn't know it.

Now I check very carefully everytime I cruise the yard.
