Phil Bartley and Ruth Fischer have called us with a report of a
Red-shouldered Hawk at McNary NWR, 1/20/96. Evidently someone called Mike
Denny who has confirmed this sighting. It was reported to be a first year
bird. It was seen on the utility pole/wires somewhere in the vicinity of
Francisco's which is on the corner of Route 12 and Humorist Road.
