This morning in my yard was much more active than usual. I've owned the house (my first) since September. No really unusual species to report, but its still exciting.
With one exception, all species have been seen before. New to my yard list and much to my delight- Varied Thrush. In addition:
Chestnut-backed chickadee
Black-capped chicadee
House Finch
Pine Siskin
Red-breasted Sapsucker
American Robin (a dozen or so)
Steller's Jay (4)
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Dark-eyed Junco
Song Sparrow (singing)

Not a long list, I know, but it's the first time I've seen them all on the same morning.
