Hi, Stuart--

It's almost like old times seeing a post from you.. :-)

When I was in the Navy, ( don't ask how long ago) I was on
a Minesweeper based in Panama City, FLA and every time we
went somewhere we had to pass Dry Tortugas, in the FLA Keys
a national turtle preserve. I saw turtles as big as table tops..
How big were these dead turtles you saw?
(I suppose it's possible for a large turtle out of the Keys
to drift north in the Gulf Stream and wind up in the Outer
Banks..) Although I never saw any except in the Dry Tortugas
area, which is why I was curious..

it makes me really "homesick" for Seattle !!!!!

C'mon back anytime...we'll keep you posted as to Tweets gatherings..
I suspect we'll all do it again this summer sometime. And, Don
was talking about a Skagit raptor (or was it rapture) romp in
Feb sometime..
