There was some discussion on tweeters last fall about the status
of the California Condor. US Fish & Wildlife is proposing to
reintroduce this species at Vermilion Cliffs, Arizona in "early 1996."
I will forward (e-mail) a copy of a longish federal register notice
that outlines this plan to anyone who is interested (please send any
such requests directly to me, not to the list).
