The night my grandfather passed away in March 1981, I took a midnight walk
along the Boundary Bay dike at the foot of 64th St.in Ladner. To my great
surprise, there was a large congregation of both Barn and Short-eared owls
- about 6 Barns and 8 Short-eareds - milling around in an adjacent field.
The only time I have seen SEOW out and about in the dark.
