For the last few weeks, ever since Jim Lyons started posting about the pair
of downtown Tacoma peregrines and their antics, I have been a menace to
traffic, driving around downtown Tacoma (on the three or four times a week I
go into town for work reasons) with my eyes looking at the tops of buildings
instead of the road. Perils of birding.

Finally, this evening (Jan 23) Clarice and I saw one of Jim's birds right on
top of Jim's building (First Interstate Tower). Regal peregrine perched on
the northeast corner, looking down at traffic over his (her?) shoulder. We
pulled over into a handy loading zone, and pointed it out to two passing
pedestrians.
