Tweeters is more visible than we might imagine. A powerful,fast new search
engine is Digital's "Alta Vista." It's so powerful it almost finds too
much stuff. At any rate, I typed in simply "birding" and did come across
both Tweeters (about 32nd or something like that in the list of hits) and
also one of the links at Dan Victor's Tweeters web site. The
URL for this search engine is: http://www.altavista.digital.com/

Also there is a searchable index of LISTSERVS that can be found at
http://www.liszt.com/ I couldn't get it tonight, but in the past I typed
"birds or birding" and got 7 or 9 hits -- in other words 7 or 9 mailing
lists having to do with birds or birding. Tweeters was among them.
