No, no. What I said was that the increased sex drive in domestic drakes was
mostly likely brought about by breeders in order to increase the number of
fertile eggs produced. The more matings the more fertility. Ducks are most
certainly creatures of instinct.
I don't really think there's a comparison between the so-called rape (and it
does look and sound like that) going on in a duck flock, and human rape.
For one thing there is no intended injury to the hens, it just happens that
way.
