During the fall, winter, and spring, I often see a female on the fence
posts between the east end of the nature trail and the model airplane
park. I often also see a female hunting over all parts of Marymoor. I
usually only see one harrier - there's probably one individual who
lives there regularly, although there are others who visit the park.

I see males much less often. I don't think there's a resident male in
the park.

I have almost never seen harriers at Marymoor in June, July, and
August, so I doubt they nest there (at least, not in the last three
years). I have often wondered where they go. There are many birds
which I see at Marymoor at all times of year *except* the breeding
months. Some species may get very secretive during that season, I
suppose, and I simply don't see them. But some species seem to find
Marymoor unsuitable for breeding. I don't know why.
