Richard, Denny Granstrand & I observed the adult Little Gull from the boat
launch on the north side of American Lake (symbol on DeLorme 21 Jan. It was
very far off to the south on the lake(about 1 mile I'd judge) but the bird is
very distinctive through a scope in flight when compared to Bonaparte's Gulls.
We poked around to find access on the south shores just east of Camp Murray,
but had no luck. By the way,this or other Little Gulls can be seen from the RV
park in Camp Murray (enter at the jet, just sign in and aslk for directions to
the RV area on the lake's shores. Good luck!
