When I wrote _Birding in Seattle and King County_ (1982) I could find
just three King County nesting sites: on the hill west of Duvall (perhaps
now defunct), at the Carnation Marsh (an historic and perhaps prehistoric
site), and at Seward Park in Seattle (now defunct). The King County
Atlas has turned up at least a couple more: one pair nests at the lumber
storage yard at Kennydale on the east shore of Lake Washington; another
nests just above the dam on the upper Green River in the Tahoma
watershed. I'd have to check the maps for more. Osprey's have
definitely not expanded their nesting locally as have Bald Eagles within
the last 15 years.
