At exactly noon, a male Red-winged Blackbird showed up at one of my feeders,
dined for about thirteen minutes, then chomped on some snow on the alder
branches. He's still out there, twenty minutes later.

I don't recall hearing too many reports of these birds at feeders. Did I
miss something? The feeder in question is a simple, small dish hanging on a
chain. It contained a mix of black sunflower, sunflower chips, and those
little white thingys that look a little like sesame seeds. The bird appeared
to ignore the black sunflower seeds.

I just checked and he's at the feeder again.
