Well then, how else are people going to bring "hunting falcons" along :-)

Aha, the flash of realisation hits !!! The request for falcons is only
metaphorical in order to make the spectacle more spectacular. I suppose
Mother Nature is going to provide those - or perhaps not. Should their
be a back up plan in case there happen not to be any willing falcons
in the area.

I think this point should be made abundantly clear. Scott you are in a good position
to say whether such an irresponsible and reckless activity (should it happen)
is illegal. I presume the migratory birds treaty and both state and federal
law has this one covered - several times over.

I still think it's a bad idea even to entertain the thought of having birds
of prey along at such a gathering. It certainly conveys the wrong message,
to members of the public.

Time for a definitve statement form the source, n'est pas ?
