I had siskins return to my feeders after an absence on Saturday. On
Sunday we had few birds of any species. The siskins I had before seemed
reasonably healthy save the one I caught. I'm not sure if there's been
a die-off or if they moved on due to both predator presence and a removal
of feeders for cleaning. It would be interesting to note others'
observations on this. BTW, my wife saw a hen ring-necked pheasant in our
yard on last Friday eating on the tray feeder we have in front. Quite
the surprise for her . RK
