This April, I'll be making a couple of trips with groups on the Chihuahau
al Pacifico Railroad, from the Pacific coast of Mexico at Los Mochis up over
the 8000 ft pass and into Chihauhau, with over-nights at Divisidero and
Chihauhau. It occurs to me that some Tweeters out there may have made this
trip and may have compiled at least a partial list of birds that we should
expect to see. I am studying the latest guide by Howell and Webb (A Guide to
the Birds of Mexico and Northern Central America) - a great book, but
it can be overwhelming, and nothing beats the first hand experience and
local knowledge of others.

If you have some advice, please post me directly, or share with tweeters.
In return, I can offer 5 winters of birding experience in the Sea of Cortes
and Baja California Sur for those who may be headed that way, and I will
report our Copper Canyon findings to those who are interested -- when I
return in late April/May.
