Good, grief. (to quote Lucy) Why would anybody assume that!?
I can't imagine anyone doing such a thing.

Well thats the clear impression that was given from Michael
Carmody's original posting.

I think, though nobody has stated explicitly, that there will be
falcons on display at this festival - correct me if I am wrong ?
While nobody might be crazy enough to fly them either in Hoquiam or
at Bowerman Basin I still think that this conveys the wrong
impression. The Shorebird Festival which is an amazingly good thing
is about migration and hopefully conservation, to emphasise the
whole event by concentrating on the falcon s which hunt shorebirds
and impressive displays that shorebirds put on when evading
predators is more reminiscent of the Roman Arena.

I only asked for clarification - CALM, CALM, OFF COURSE I'M CALM !!!!!!

Tom hasn't said anything to give that impression. I'd be interested
in your reaction to the original posting however.

I have already said I have no problem with wild birds of prey going
about their business.

The bottom line question is the festival promoting shorebirds,
birds of prey or falconry ?
