America On Line users, I need a little help. My wife subscribes to Prodigy
and I'm online w/ Netscape. Each of these has it's own mail manager
software (for Prodigy you download and pay a small one-time fee) that
enables you to log in, download all of your email, send any unsent mail, and
then either log off or stay online, your choice. Netscape comes bundled
with Eudora Mail which does the same thing. In each case you are charged
only for the actual connect time, around 5 minutes or so a day.
A friend of ours uses a Macintosh (I don't think that makes any
difference to the question), subscribes to America On Line and has been
reading her email and composing replies and new messages online. Not
surprisingly, her AOL bill this month was quite high.
Question: Does AOL has software one can download to manage email
off-line similar to that described above?
Thanks for any information. Tom T. in Seattle
