Warblers singing at American Lake, Pierce Co., 29 June: Orange-crowned,
Yellow, Wilson's. At Swamp Lake, Kittitas Co., 30 June: Yellow,
Townsend's, MacGillivray's, Common Yellowthroat. I've always thought that
singing really diminished around the end of June, so it's of interest to
see who is still singing as we go on into July. That's one reason I
started putting little musical-note symbols on my field cards for species
that were singing; also indicates the start of singing of resident birds
each year.
