Dennis alluded to 3 bird tapes produced in B.C. which are good for
local dialects. I have seen these tapes at Flora and Fauna Books in
Seattle. I think the tapes cover: 1) Birds of the Dryland Interior,
2) Birds of Estuaries and Lowlands, and 3)Mountain Birds. Don't hold
me to those titles but that's roughly what they cover.

I like to use a couple of tapes out of Oregon produced by Elinor
Paulsen [sp?], "Birding By Ear - Western Species," and "Difficult
Species." They also contain local dialects and unlike the BC tapes
they contain some analysis of the song patterns. Those tapes are
available through the Orgeon Field Ornithologists.
