The various notes about bird song tapes have not yet mentioned "Bird Song
Master" which I use frequently with both the Peterson CDs and the National
Geographic (Cornell) CDs. This requires CD-ROM capability. There is almost
instant access to whatever song is on the chosen CD. Before a birding trip
to an unfamiliar area I typically listen to target birds and then make a
tape of them to use or review in the field. Bird Song Master greatly
simplifies this process. All you do is click your mouse on the desired
bird. Also has a quiz function that will play any number of selected songs
in random order. Sorry, I don't run across the address right now, but
could look harder if there is interest.
