Not having been a subscriber for very long, I am not clear whether
this is already well-known. If so, please forgive the intrusion.

I understand that there is a relationship between the stage of the
tide and the density/diversity of shorebirds along the coast. This
would make knowledge of the tides important in trip-planning. This
evening, I found a website at which one can obtain predictions of
tidal-data calculated over a long period of time (although accuracy
is not guaranteed). It is at: http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/

I found it useful. In August, I'll see if it's accurate!
