Could be "English" or House sparrows. We say a male drag out a young swallow
out of a box last year. I also wonder about the Grey Squirrels, as the
mother swallows here do everything they can to drive them away from the area
around the nest box. I really enjoy watching them straf the squirrels down
my long deck, like WWII fighter pilots, and see the squirrels skitter for
cover.
