My Seattle map says--

from the South: I-5 to 85th...go left on 85th to 3rd..turn right on 3rd.
to 110th...turn left and follow 110th into the Park...

from the North: I-5 to Northgate Way (becomes 105th) right on Greenwood to
110th...left on 110th into the Park.

July 12, 1996 Friday 5-9 pm
Carkeek Park

Bring everything you want to eat, drink etc...and your bins, scopes
etc..(Russell--better bring that great Swarovski scope so we can
all drool over it..and hopefully, not on it, although it is supposed
to be waterproof.. :)

I will show up with:

an old-fashioned washtub containing 3 watermelons, 3 2-liter
bottles of lime, and 3 of lemon selzer (all to be iced)
2 big bags of tortilla chips and salsa..
2 rolls of paper towels + 40 paper plates and some plastic
cups (yuk!) and NO EATING UTENSILS

I suggest we all bring our favorite glass or beverage container
a plate, and silverware to eat with..

While this is, strictly speaking, not a potluck, some
interesting dishes showed up last year and I certainly
wouldn't want to do anything to discourage that level
of participation.. :)

I'll bring the Docter 8x30 bins...and a WWII Wehrmacht
propaganda poster showing this same design..it's been around
a while.

You also might think in terms of lawn chairs, etc..for your
comfort and convenience..

I will also show up with stick-on name tags and marker pen
so we all won't have to suffer lack of recognition anxiety.. :)

There were some Tweets who posted invitations to out-of-town Tweets who
need some space to roll out a sleeping bag for the night...thanks for
doing that...and if there are any other folks who wish to extend a similar
courtesy, thanks to you in advance...

I'm planning to be there by 4 pm to get set up...
