Yes, I guess this was implicit in my posts, but it bears explicit
repetition.

A very good friend of mine who's put hundreds of hours into the
Portland Audubon computer upgrade and web page work, has kindly given me
free web space, hunts elk. I like eating the result, myself. Elk
chili's damned good stuff.

Bob Fields, who used to manage all of the refuges in California and
Nevada for USF&W, is a very good bird photographer. And hunter.
And PAS board member who provides us great insight into how to
work with USF&W to improve conservation. He and Frans Lanting
built the first eagle blinds down at Tule, when Bob managed the
Tule/Klamath NWR complex.

He recently gave a slide show at PAS on a recent trip he and friends
took to South Africa, now that apartheid is gone. It was a combined
wildlife photography, birding, and duck hunting trip.

Don't be so quick to stereotype people who happen to enjoy an
activity you don't!

(I know I'm largely preaching to the chorus here on tweeters, but
the computers slow today and I've got a hell of a lot of free time
on my hands!)
