A Snow Goose has been undergoing the seasonal loss of flight feathers =
with
50 or so Canada Geese at Captitol Lake in Olympia. The bird arrived on
June 12th, and now is quite 'tame'.... snip, snip

Michael,

I looked at this bird from 10 feet away last week. One thing I observed =
was that there were NO primaries or secondaries on either wing. The =
Canada geese the Snow was associating with all had observable remiges. =
I am unaware of the extent of full-flight-feather molt in Snow Geese =
versus Canadas, but I have to pose the question: Is this Snow Goose not =
a pinioned bird?
