If the song is musical and I have time, I write down the song with real
notes. I have done this with the white crowned sparrow and an
unidentified bird (below). If I don't right it down in some
easily-reproduced way like this, it's very difficult for me to remember
them. But if the birds are common, like robins and house finches, I can
learn them by repetition.

Can anyone can identify this bird song: ae ce fq ae ce fq. (a, c, and f
are note-names; e is eighth note; and q is quarter note) thanx.
