That's nice of you to post the list, I'm sure many folks will find it
useful.

Sounds like it might be time to remind folks that, oh, a year or year and
a half ago (I think) a semi-consensus formed over how to handle the
abbreviations: first appearance in a post, use the common name with
the abbreviation in parenthesis, then go ahead and feel free to use the
code thereafter.
